'Twas the night before......Easter?!?

I couldn't believe my eyes when I woke up this morning and found the ground covered in snow! It was warm here on Christmas but snowing on Easter Eve! Crazy Va Beach weather! Guess we'll just throw out the eggs tomorrow and tell the kids to go get 'em!

Baby Shower!

Shelly & Jessica hosted a beautiful baby shower for me last Saturday. The put up with my serious control issues and made the nicest shower I've ever been to! (wink!) It took place at my home but they did all the work. The theme was pink and brown and they made it work! I had such a great time and I hope all the guests did too! So many beautiful and thoughtful gifts - it was SO much fun and so GIRLY! :)

Cupcakes from Mother's Day

I just thought I'd share another pic of some cupcakes I made. These were from Mother's Day this year. They were the first ones I made and where I got the idea to make them for Marcie's Shower. I plan to make some decadent chocolate ones with pink icing for my baby shower!

July 4th!

DH raced on July 4th in his redneck go-cart racing series http://arenaracingusa.com. It was really hot - but son Will and I didn't go out until 3:30 p.m. so we were out of the heat most of the day! We watched the fireworks at Town Point Park and enjoyed the breeze off the water there. Will was exhausted by the end of the night and fell asleep on the way home. Lucky him!
