Williamsburg in the Fall

DSC_0330, originally uploaded by RhondaMHC.

Williamsburg is beautiful this year! The leaves are beautiful now that it has finally gotten cooler and actually feels like Fall. I've got lots of knitting projects on the needles and I found out my baby sister is pg! woo hoo! I can't wait to knit stuff for her! Here are some more pics of the gorgeous leaves!

The Birthday Girl who loved cake

DSC_0159, originally uploaded by RhondaMHC.

This is Lainey after she rubbed her birthday cake into her belly button, her nose, her mouth, her ears and her hair. She loved it and did what I only wish I could do with my birthday cake! We had a great first birthday! We also enjoyed my mom's birthday - we celebrated it on the same day - hers is a few days earlier. Here's a couple of pics of grandma and mom in the Limo, a pic of Aunt Marcie (so glad she flew in to see everyone! We loved having her here and the kids miss her still!) and well I'll throw in a few of the lushes! *Note - there is no evidence of any alcoholic impropriety on my part!* cuz I'm smart like that! No pictures means it didn't happen!

Its only been barely cold for a week and I already miss Summer! Fall and Winter are nice seasons, nice to have a change, but I prefer it HOT and I'm poolside! Look how much Lainey has grown already in a few short months! I'm a little freaked out that Thanksgiving is only 3 weeks away - I'm not ready - but I will be! Christmas is going to be great this year. We already have our Christmas cards done - how's that for pre-planning? Well, we had our pictures done and well I didn't actually do them, but they're still done so it counts! Check out this FANTASTIC photographer and mother - she's really amazing and so personable. I highly reccomend her to anyone thinking about having their kids or their family pictures done. Check out her website - it speaks for itself! http://imprintsintime.com

Weekend in the Mountains

We left on Friday morning and came home Sunday. Took Will & Lainey to the Blue Ridge Mountains to pick apples and also went to Luray Caverns. Our stop in Charlottesville - to Carter Mountain Orchard didn't yield a lot of apples - but it was nice just the same. We each got a frozen cider slush - wow it was fantastic! Not exactly the crisp Fall weather we expected - it was 80 degrees! I got some knitting done - ended up having to rip out all but about an inch of the Debbie Bliss Matinee Jacket I'm making due to a mistake early on that was just bugging me. I also got one T-strap sandal made on the way back. I'm loving ravelry - if you've not signed up yet - DO IT! I had to wait 3 mos to get in!

Little Miss Lainey is turning 1 soon!

DSC_0645, originally uploaded by RhondaMHC.

I can't believe she's going to be 1 in just about 3 weeks! How cute is she? And growing so fast!

I also knitted a baby doll for her. She's got brown eyes with green thread to look like hers. I'm knitting a tutu and a mermaid's tail to go with it. Its from the book "Knitted Babes" that my sister Marcie sent me. Its very cute and quick. Look Marcie - I also used the I-cord maker you sent. What an awesome tool indeed! Thank you - I really love it!
Check her blog out at Knitting Grobanite!

I'm also working on a beautiful jacket - Matinee Jacket - from Debbie Bliss' Simply Baby.
